• school lunch-size milk carton, clean and empty
• 2 1/4-by-9 1/2-inch cardstock, for roofline eaves
• 3-by-9 1/2-inch corrugated cardboard or cardstock, for house sides
• 2 1/2-by-5-inch cardstock, for roof covering • various cardstock, for window frames, doors, extra roof layers, etc.
• vellum or quilting template frosted plastic, for windows
• DecoArt Snow-Tex
• small paintbrush
• double-stick tape
• tacky glue
• pen/pencil, for tracing
• scissors
• low-temp glue gun and glue sticks
• embellishments like pine garland, berries, holiday buttons, stickers, baker’s twine, etc.
• craft knife, optional
    1. Open the top of an empty, clean and dry milk carton. Cut out and remove the bottom of
the carton so you can add a tea light candle later.
2. Draw and cut out a door and any windows on the sides of
the house that you want. Note: You can also just glue windows and a door onto the house after. You just wouldn’t be able to use the tea light candle to light it up.
Meadow Gold gifted me with chocolate milk cartons, and I was able to show how everyone can have fun taking those cartons and turning them into little houses to use as a ta- blescape decoration or tree ornament.

4.Take the 3-by-9 1/2-inch cardstock or
cardboard and wrap around the milk carton for the sides of the house. From the inside of the carton, trace the window and door cutouts. Remove cardstock and cut out the windows and door.

      3. Wrap the 2 1/4-by-9 1/2-inch strip of cardstock
around the carton, aligning one edge with the top open edge of the carton. Tape/glue to the milk carton, overlap- ping the ends.
