Jerry Adam Guzmán has been named president of Henderson Design Group. While staying focused on overall business strategy, client relations, design development and creative direction, Guzmán will co-lead the organization alongside founder and CEO Eric Henderson. The company’s work includes the redesign of Kaimana Beach Hotel, as well as Park Lane Ala Moana and Ward Village.
Sherri Okinaga has been promoted to senior vice president and division manager of First Hawaiian Bank’s organizational effectiveness division. She leads the development of human resources strategies that maximize employee efforts to enhance bank performance and enable business growth. Okinaga brings 30 years of experience to the role.
Dr. Kazuma Nakagawa has been named to Modern Healthcare’s 2021 class of Top Diversity Leaders. The award honors leading health care executives from diverse backgrounds who are influencing policy and care delivery models across the country. Nakagawa works for The Queen’s Health Systems and is chief of Queen’s Neuroscience Institute. He is a neurologist.

Kenneth Dep has been appointed lead commercial underwriter with DTRIC Insurance. In this role, he will be responsible for providing technical leadership to the commercial lines underwriting team. Dep has nearly 30 years of experience in the commercial insurance sector and joined the company in 2014. He is a graduate of San Francisco State University.
Rebecca Harper is administrative assistant manager at Kupu. She will assist to ensure team members fulfill program and AmeriCorps requirements; oversee the Hawai‘i Youth Conservation Corps Summer and Conservation Leadership Development program staff; and provide administrative oversight. She is a graduate of California State University, Northridge.
Loren Nakaoka is vice president and regional manager, West O‘ahu with Hawai‘i State Federal Credit Union. Nakaoka will be responsible for managing resources and staff, developing and attaining sales goals, delivering exceptional customer service, and growing revenues for Hawai‘i State FCU’s West O‘ahu region. He previously served as regional manager, East O‘ahu and Maui.
Central Pacific Bank recently announced a few executive leadership promotions: (from left) Catherine Ngo has been elevated to executive vice chair of both the bank and holding company boards; David Morimoto now is senior executive vice president and CFO of CPB and Central Pacific Financial; and Arnold Martines has been appointed president and COO of CPB and CPF.
