In 1955, Clint Eastwood initiated his career in The Revenge of the Creature (from Creature from the Black Lagoon). This country singer — who also appeared in Sling Blade, among other notable movies — will be Eastwood’s co-star.
The Pulitzer Prize-winning book She Said is being adapted to the silver screen. The film is a dramatic retelling of the sexual harassment investigation that took down producer Harvey Weinstein, helping launch the #MeToo movement. It will star Carey Mulligan and Zoe
Kazan as The New York Times writers Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor; and Andre Braugher as Dean Baquet. This actor, whose Oscar-winning ex-wife has her own accusations against
Weinstein, is one of the film’s producers.
Based on the late Carrie Fisher’s life and her battle with fame, family and drug addiction, Postcards from the Edge was released this week back in 1990. The movie stars Meryl Streep, who does her own singing in this comedy-drama and performs a song, I’m Checking Out, at the end of the film that’s written by this well-known children’s book author.
