Praised filmmaker Wes Anderson’s (Fantastic Mr. Fox, Moonrise Kingdom and The Grand Budapest Hotel) latest flick, The French Dispatch (debuting in America Oct. 22), received an incredible nine-minute standing ovation at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. There’s evidently no breaks for the Texas native, as his next movie, which has yet to be named, features a star-studded cast of Adrien Brody, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton and this actor, who you’ve always got as a friend.
In the upcoming crime drama film The Man Who Drew God, actress Faye Dunaway, age 80, plays a Braille teacher, starring alongside Kevin Spacey. Her friend is the blind protagonist, played by this Italian actor, who also directed the movie.
It was recently announced that Mindy Kaling would be voicing the character of Velma for an upcoming HBO Max series of the same name. For now, her Netflix show, Never Have I Ever, just launched its second season. The coming-of-age series stars Maitreyi Ramakrish-
nan as protagonist Devi and features this tennis star as its narrator.
Considered the granddaddy of martial arts films, Enter the Dragon was released to U.S. au- diences 48 years ago this week. The movie, which stars Bruce Lee as a Shaolin monk turned secret agent, is appreciated for both its legendary fight scenes and memorable lines. In one scene shot aboard a junk and featuring praying mantises shipped to Hong Kong from Hawai‘i, Lee, confronted by a bully trying to pick a fight, explains his style to be the art of what?
