 retailer.

all the great fashion trends of the spring season, as well as the many events we have planned,” Isa says. “We continue to ele- vate the customer experience, whether in-store or virtually, with a focus on providing the best service.
“I learned so many valuable lessons from Mr. Tomonari, but one of the most essential is the importance of community and relationships,” she says. “He would often say that we are nothing without our customers, and emphasized the value of building genuine relationships. He underscored that the cus- tomer’s need is at the heart of everything we do, which con- tinues to align with our core values today.”
Medical Center because of the valuable work this not-for-profit hospital does in providing ma- ternity, newborn and pediatric specialty care, serving as home to the Women’s Cancer Center and for the numerous commu- nity programs it provides. We thought giving back to a hos- pital that touches so many lives here in Hawai‘i was the perfect way to celebrate Mother’s Day this year.”
“I’m also very excited about the much-anticipated reopening of our Mariposa restaurant in early summer. We are current- ly recruiting to build another award-winning Mariposa team and welcome applicants. We will start opening reservations for this very soon.”
Another example of those core values is Neiman Marcus’ tradition of giving back to the community. To that end, Isa has arranged for the store to host its Giveback Event, May 6-8.
That focus on customer ser- vice is something that’s been in- grained in this Honolulu native. Her experience in retail started with a job at Liberty House, and she later was part of the team that opened Neiman Marcus at Ala Moana Center in 1998.
Isa is an avid globe-trotter and can’t wait for travel to open up for everyone. On her bucket list: Egypt.
Isa has filled many roles, including assistant in the dress collections department, sales manager, assistant general man- ager and, most recently, group manager overseeing all wom- en’s and men’s apparel, jewelry handbags, gifts and home, inti- mate apparel and ladies shoes.
“Customers will have the opportunity to shop for a great cause,” she says. “While shop- ping at Neiman Marcus Hono- lulu, customers can mention to any sales associate they would like their purchase to benefit Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children. Neiman Marcus will donate 10% of sales from these purchases.
“I have had a fascination with King Tut and the pyra- mids since I studied (them) in elementary school.”
She has been recognized for her work ethic when her peers nom- inated her for the company’s prestigious NM Best Award.

For now, she’s ready to wel- come everyone back to Neiman Marcus.
“I look forward to seeing all our long-time friends in-store and meeting some new ones very soon.”
