Kitty Yannone is CEO of CommPac, a public relations agency that recently received two significant national credentials: Women- Owned Small Business accreditation awarded through the Small Business Association, and certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise through the Women’s Business Enterprise Council.
Gene DeMello Jr. has been appointed to serve on the Hawai‘i Paroling Authority. The five- person group is an independent quasi-judicial body, which, for administrative purposes only, is attached to the state Department of Public Safety. DeMello retired in 2020 after 28 years working in various federal positions. He is a graduate of University of Portland.
Jill Hoggard Green has been named to The Joint Commission’s board. She is president and CEO of The Queen’s Health Systems, making her the only hospital executive from Hawai‘i appointed to the prestigious board. Green received her bachelor’s in nursing, master’s in health care leadership and quality, and doctorate from University of Utah.

Sherman Wong now is director of design and construction with Lili‘uokalani Trust. He leads a team of managers in the planning, design, development and construction of projects. Wong brings more than two decades of experience and has worked on complex projects for University of Hawai‘i, Kiewit Building Group, Castle & Cooke and Hawaiian Dredging.
Kristin Mukai has been named managing partner with Locations. She has earned several accolades for client service and sales performance, including Locations’ Master’s Circle Club, Sapphire Society Club and Platinum Society Club awards. She also received Locations’ Client Service award for 12 consecutive years. Mukai is president of Locations Foundation.
John Ogoshi now is president of Maryl Group Construction Inc. In this new role, Ogoshi will lead the way to reshape the company’s footprint across the islands. He holds a bachelor’s in civil engineering from University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa and an MBA from University of Illinois. He is also a LEED-accredited professional and a licensed professional engineer in the state.
