The first opportunity to get involved is at the ‘Aiea Taiheiji Kendo Tournament slated for 9 a.m. Nov. 19, at the ‘Aiea High School Gym- nasium (98-1276 Ulune St.). The following day, at 9 a.m. Nov. 20, Hawai‘i Kendo Fed- eration will hold its Dan and Kyu examinations as a follow up to the tournament at Hāl- awa District Park Gym (99- 795 ‘Iwa‘iwa St.).
The Hawai‘i Kendo Feder- ation is offering its inaugural Year-end Banquet from 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 20 at Natsunoya Tea House (1935 Makanani Drive) in Honolulu. Tickets are $100 per person and $50 for those 4-7 years old and includes dinner as well as access to a silent auction and prize giveaways.
