Those interested in partic- ipating can visit the Humane Society (2700 Wai‘alae Ave.) between 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and check in at the Couch Crashers consultation table. Adoption representa- tives will match potential foster parents with the right dog for their home, lifestyle and family. Hawaiian Hu- mane Society will provide all the necessary supplies and veterinary care for the dog during its foster period.
As an added incentive to the public, the humane so- ciety is offering a Will You Be Mine adoption special through Feb. 19. During this period, the adoption fee is $14 for all animals. Nor- mally, adoption fees range from $25 for a guinea pig to $250 for puppies. To be clear, this is for those inter- ested in adopting, not for those interested in fostering through the Couch Crashers program.

They prepared planting areas for na- tive species at Kapapapuhi Point Park, supported restoration efforts at Huilua Fishpond at Kahana Bay, cleared brush at Loko Ea Fishpond in Hale‘iwa and planted native Hawaiian plants for Mālama Learning Center.
“First Insurance prides itself on sup- porting local nonprofit organizations that are aligned with our charitable giving focuses,” states company pres- ident and chief underwriting officer Todd Takayama. “We especially appre- ciate our associates’ support and active participating in creating a stronger and more resilient Hawai‘i for future gen- erations.”
