The Friends of Honolulu City Lights has unveiled its 2022 Christmas ornaments. The first features Shaka Santa getting ready to holo holo to the Makapu‘u Point Lighthouse trail. Tūtū Mele
is there to see him off from Honolulu Hale. The second ornament shows Shaka San- ta completing the Makapu‘u Point Lighthouse trail and anticipating seeing some humpback whales.
The ornaments are $18 each and can be purchased at all Macy’s stores and First Hawaiian Bank branches on O‘ahu.
Meanwhile, ‘Iolani Pal- ace has unveiled its 2022 commemorative Christmas ornament. This year’s design was created by artist Isobel Strong and features the Ha- waiian flag that was flown on the first and only ship of the Hawaiian Royal Navy — HHMS Kaimiloa. The two kāhili (feather staffs) represent King Kalākaua and Queen Liliʻuokalani. The ornament is $30 and can be purchased at the ‘Iolani Palace gift shop or online at iolani-palace-shop.mybig- commerce.com
