Teen-run Nonprofit Covers Cost Of Cataract Surgeries
For the second year in a row, a group of teenagers helped provide free cata- ract surgeries for uninsured and underinsured Hawai‘i residents. It was all part of WikiVision’s 2022 Cataract Surgery Day, which took place on Sept. 3.
WikiVision is a nonprofit started by siblings Alec and Arabella Tan, who both at- tend ‘Iolani School. They started the organization to educate young adults about the importance of eye health and to give back to the community.
