‘Iolani Students Build Flight-ready Single-seat Airplane
ʻIolani School recently celebrated the completion of its student-built, sin- gle-seat experimental elec- tric-motor glider aircraft.
The conception, design and the construction of the E-Hawk, which is flight- ready, took place entirely on the school’s campus as part of a three-year extra- curricular project under- taken by a team of faculty, staff, and current and for- mer students: Caleb French (Class of ’ 22), Mariko Sto- rey (Class of ’ 21), Dylan Dinio (Class of ’ 21), Noah Taniguchi (Class of ’ 21) and Dylan Fujihara (Class of ’19).
