    During the COVID-19 pandemic, an outdoor dining program was allowed and a pilot program, made possible through City Council Bill 27, was started by Mayor Rick Blangiardi’s administration. As a result, The Surfing Pig in Kaimukī, received permits from the City departments of Planning and Permitting and Transportation Services, that allow it to pro- vide outdoor dining services on City property, such as side- walks or pedestrian malls ... Paubox, an email encryption and security software company, announced the recipients of its Kahikina STEM Scholarship. Harlee Wong of Chaminade University was one of those awarded the honor. The objec- tive of the scholarship is to encourage Native Hawaiians
to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math. Wong is majoring in forensic science ... Shell Hawai‘i gas stations, with two locations in East O‘ahu, raised more than $15,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities. The funds were col- lected through Shell Hawai‘i’s Giving Pump Campaign last
