    Aloha surfers and beach goers,
Whoa, May surf kicked off big. It was pret- ty much unlike any May I can remember for the past 30 years. We’ve seen times in the past when the North Shore was bigger in May but to have all shores shine so bright all at once was rare. ‘Tis the season to be stoked.

They must go back to the challenger re-qualify- ing series in order to have a chance to surf professional- ly in 2023. This means only 18 men and 12 women are left to battle it out for finals day in September. It’s career
I’m cool with it. Change can be good. It’s a fresh, nearly revolutionary ap- proach to the theatrics that is pro surfing.
The thing I love about waves is that not one is the same; you can look at them again and again and never tire. Little’s Art of Waves deepened my appreciation to another level. I felt awe and gratitude.
