Principal Jason Na- kamoto of Leilehua High School has been recognized as one of the state’s 15 top public school principals for the 17th Mas- ayuki Tokioka Excellence in School Leadership Award. Nakamoto received $1,000 cash. The Masayuki Tokioka Excellence in School Lead- ership Award recipient and two semifinalists will be an- nounced at the Public Schools of Hawai‘i Foundation annu- al dinner on April 20. The top principal will receive $25,000 — a $10,000 personal cash award and $15,000 toward a school project of the prin- cipal’s choice. Semifinalists will each receive a $2,000 cash award ...
