ly proud of the essential roles that USPS employees played throughout the COVID pan- demic, especially in its early lockdown phase.
According to Nakaoka, the holiday season is USPS’ time to shine.
Recalling his younger days, what Nakaoka remem- bers most about his experi- ence at Mililani High is the sense of family on campus; a feeling of community among the students, teachers and ad- ministrators; and “the sense that the Mililani High com- munity is there to support you while you’re a student and throughout your life.”
Nakaoka and his wife, Gerin, have three children, Skyeler, Kendal and Kaje. His hobbies include spending quality time with his family, going to the beach, and vol- unteering as a youth baseball coach in West O‘ahu.

“Our postal employees were and continue to be vital lifelines between our local communities and the out- side world,” says Nakaoka. “We’re almost always in the market for dedicated new employees to join our postal team. USPS jobs in Hawai‘i provide great opportunities for anyone seeking a fast- paced, rewarding work envi- ronment with good pay.”

“My experiences at Milil- ani High — academic, extra- curricular and social — truly prepared me and laid the foundation for my adult life. Two of my children, Skyeler and Kendal, also graduated from Mililani High School, with honors, and their school experiences similarly posi-
tioned them for future suc- cess,” Nakaoka adds.
Summing up his thoughts about the USPS, Nakaoka emphasizes, “The little things matter. In fact, it could be said that there is no such thing as a little thing when we’re en- trusted with delivering such vital items as Social Security checks, medications or a gift that brings a smile to a child’s face on Christmas morning.”
Because he loves the mis- sion of USPS and its focused goal of connecting people between and within commu- nities, Nakaoka decided to pursue a career there.
Nakaoka adds that the USPS needs “motivated, dedicated people to join us to deliver for our local com- munities and our nation. I encourage anyone who is
