Central O‘ahu Schools Receive Funds From Kōkua For Keiki

 This annual fundraising initiative raises money for Hawai‘i public schools in communities near A&B shopping centers.
“Kōkua for Keiki en- courages shoppers and diners to support schools in their neighborhood com- munities,” states Kit Mil- lan, senior vice president of asset management at A&B. “This year, over 1,400 re- ceipts were collected and converted into monetary awards for our partner schools to fund their edu- cational priorities and en- richment programs.”
In its second year, A&B’s Kōkua for Keiki initiative partnered 16 public schools with eight A&B shopping centers on O‘ahu and Ha- wai‘i Island. The program ran for two months, from December 2021 through January 2022, capturing the
Kōkua for Keiki funds augment A&B’s annual Kōkua Giving charitable program which donated $977,000 in 2021 to sup- port 175 nonprofit organi- zations across the state.
