ustomers of Tamura’s Market Wahi- awā at 440 Kilani Ave. will notice an array of recent upgrades to the icon-
ic neighborhood store.
Mike Mita, the company’s director of op-
erations, said a series of renovations began last year and were completed in March.
“We repaved the parking lot first and then we started putting in new freezers for our frozen food section. Also, we put in a new meat case, produce cases and also our sea- food case. We have new flooring areas,” Mita explains.
It’s all part of the company’s continued lo- cal investment in Hawai‘i.
“We’re a neighborhood store, and Tamura’s focus has always been on the community and giving back to the community, like the neigh- boring schools. We always give donations to the schools yearly with the Tamura’s Chari- table Foundation. We’re giving donations of school supplies, and most recently we’ve been giving them Hydro Flasks,” Mita shares.
