Youths’ Art, Poetry At FilCom

Young poets will share their works about growing up in Hawaii from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 28 at FilCom Center in Waipahu. The event, themed Kundiman (the Tagalog word for Filipino love songs), also will feature pieces and demonstrations by visual artists and performances by musicians, dancers and singers.

Kundiman is a part of a series of events called FilCom Sundays, which gives various community partners the chance to co-host an event that showcases Filipino culture. All FilCom Sunday events are free and open to the public.

For more information or to get involved in Kundiman, email program specialist Marie Ramos at Marie@filcom.org.
