As the Aloha State continues celebrating the passage of SB1, Perfectly Planned Hawaii recently launched as the state’s first full-service, nationally certified (National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce) destination weddings and events planning firm dedicated to the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) market.
With each ceremony and event, we work to reflect the authentic culture and setting of Hawaii. From those who want a beachfront barefoot wedding that brings guests back in time, to a luxurious plantation home, to an intimate exchange of vows on a private reserve, we will work closely with each couple to ensure their big day is perfectly planned, handling every aspect from big-picture planning to the minutest of details.
Why “Perfectly Planned”? My prior experience working with high-end luxury events taught me the importance of providing impeccable service, offering superior products and working with great people. Over the years, I’ve also learned that one of the main keys to carrying out events is working with vendors and accommodation partners who exemplify the best in service and amenities – and maintaining good relationships with them. Our team includes Visionary, Yvonne Design, Mood Event and Celebrity Tuxedos; accommodations partners are The Kahala Hotel, Moana Surfrider, Hilton Hawaiian Village and JW Marriott Ihilani. We’re excited to be working with them and will be announcing other partnerships soon. And we are delighted to be introducing Hawaii to a new market. According to the National Center for Health Statistics, there are more than 2 million weddings a year in the United States. The estimated number of destination weddings ranges from 10 percent to 25 percent – and Hawaii is a huge destination wedding location. With the historic passage of SB1, the LGBT community now can experience a legal marriage and the Hawaiian destination wedding of their dreams.
