Central Oahu residents are boosting the scholar count in Corvallis, where eight area students earned bachelor’s degrees in June at Oregon State University, including cum laude honors to Brett Kakugawa and Shawna Fujita, both of Mililani. The others are Haleiwa’s Staci Yamada and Mililani’s Marissa Arakaki, Jeremy Conner, Jessica Pojas, Tyler Poole and Andrew Thomas. And 10 additional locals made OSU’s spring term honor roll: from Mililani – Hiilani Morita (straight A’s), Danielle Aio, Nainoa Choy, Shawna Fujita, Erin Ichimura, Lauren Luke and Amber Yonamine; from Wahiawa – Christian Faria and Merri Lewis; from Waialua – Ghezelbel Perdido and Jandie Sabo
