The University of Hawaii Alumni Association celebrated its annual Distinguished Alumni Awards dinner last month at Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. This year’s honorees are Robert Alm, Frederick Choi, Patrick DeLeon, Ted Tsukiyama, Virginia Hinshaw and (the late) Ann Dunham Soetoro. The awards pay tribute to alumni who have made outstanding contributions to their professions and community.
