WELCOME TO Kimo’s Vegas … The Player’s Edge!

PARDON MY GEEK … Now at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, the first fully immersive Marvel 4-D theater, where Las Vegas gets saved by … you guessed it, Marvel superheroes! See the largest lineup of Marvel figures this side of Tony Stark’s residence, including Iron Man, Nick Fury, Thor and Captain America. Not your speed? How about Sandra Bullock or Sofia Vergara – and for the other half, there’s Jamie Foxx, Simon Cowell and even the King. Bring your camera to pose for some unreal photos.

SPIDEY SENSES TINGLING … Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark is closing Jan. 4 on Broadway and may surface in Vegas.

HMMMMM … Vegas regulars and conspiracy theorists have heard about Area 51, the Air Force’s top-secret base in the Nevada desert. It is the alleged home of UFOs in America. That’s why it makes sense for the Youth Educational Spacecraft project to land downtown. The craft is a mobile spaceship classroom and art installation created from repurposed materials. Artist Dana Albany uses LED lights, a fog machine and a vibration interface to make the art exhibit come to life, exposing keiki to mosaics and robotics. Visits to the craft at Learning Village are free, but hurry – the ship is scheduled to blast off Dec. 8.

EVERY YEAR, Boyd Gaming hosts a Mahalo Party, and on the invite list are B Connected players, clients and severely undercompensated media types like yours truly. It keeps folks all the way through the end of the program by giving away great prizes like $100 bills and $500 in cash, Hawaiian Miles and its famous Las Vegas packages. The odds of winning one of the big prizes are slim, but everyone goes home with a full tummy and a gift bag. To score an invite, be sure to always play with your B Connected card.

DAVID SCHWARTZ IS the director of the Center for Gaming Research at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and the city’s resident gaming know-it-all. So when he says the average slot machine makes $117.27 per day, you know it’s a fact, even though your personal experience may have that figure much higher…

GOLDEN SATURDAY IS coming to the Golden Nugget. There’s a $25,000 minimum prize pool that starts Saturday (Nov. 30). Call John Giannos, director of player development (702-386-8218) to get in on the action.

ROD STEWART DOES a stint at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace April 30-May 17, and tickets are on sale – or for you full room-food-beverage (RFB) players, available from your casino host now. By the way, did you know that Do You Think I’m Sexy was the rocker’s spoof on disco? He also donated all royalties from the song to United Nations Children’s Fund.
