Training To Save Lives This Year

American Red Cross Hawaii has a new crop of life-saving classes in January, all at its headquarters on 4155 Diamond Head Road.

Completion of each course comes with a two-year certification.

First Aid courses cover how to recognize and care for injuries, including burns, heat emergencies, cuts and more, while CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) courses focus on how to address life-threatening cardiac and respiratory emergencies, as well as how to use an AED (automated external defibrillator).

Classes and fees are listed below. Online blended-learning courses offer a shorter training period for those who train regularly. Full courses meet in a traditional training classroom with video, bookwork and hands-on skills with manikins.
