Teenage Con Man On DHT Stage In True Tale

Broadway music entangles with international con games in Diamond Head Theatre’s Catch Me If You Can, opening May 23.

Based off the real-life exploits of Frank W. Abagnale Jr. – a teenage con man who posed as an airplane pilot, lawyer and doctor while forging checks for millions of dollars, winning love and dodging the FBI – the musical also draws inspiration from the 2002 film of the same name.

Former DHT Shooting Star Aleks Pevec, now a Broadway veteran, plays the lead.

The play runs Thursdays-Sundays until June 8. Shows begin at 8 p.m., except Sundays when they start at 4. There are two Saturday performances at 3 and 8 p.m. May 31 and June 7.

Tickets cost $35, $25 and $15, depending on seating location. Discounts are available for seniors, military, children and students. To purchase tickets, call 733-0274 or visit diamondheadtheatre.com.
