Sen. Tokuda Showcases Windward Student Art

State Sen. Jill Tokuda has once again installed Windward student art at the State Capitol, on display now through the end of February.

This year, the STAR Program (Senator Tokuda’s Art Review) will highlight art in various media from Windward Community College and Ben Parker, Kaneohe and Kapunahala elementary schools in the chamber level of the Capitol building. The building is open from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. weekdays, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.

“With so many people coming to the Capitol for the legislative session, it is only fitting that they be greeted by the artistic expressions and visions of Hawaii’s future leaders,” she stated.

More than 1,500 Windward students have had their work featured since the lawmaker began the program in 2007. For more information, call 587-7215.
