Overall, what did you think?

Rio 2 was a great movie that I would recommend everyone to watch. There is a lot of action and excitement throughout the movie, and this is one of the most fun, entertaining movies among the ones I recently have watched.

Without giving away the ending, what was one of your favorite scenes?

One of my favorite scenes was when Nico, Pedro and Raphael were holding an audition for the upcoming carnival. This scene gave me and others a lot of laughs. A lot of characters, such as the sloth, the turtles and Nigel (the evil white bird), were competing with their amazing talents.

On a scale of one to four stars, what would you rate this film?

I would definitely give ★★★★ because of how amazingly the director has put this film together. This film was very entertaining from beginning to end.

What did you think of the cinematography?

The cinematography of this film was outstanding. The settings of the movie were beautiful, including the view of the sunset in the Amazon and the journey across South America to get to the Amazon.

Was the message/theme clear?

The message I have received was that we need to save the beautiful nature without thinking of only the benefits for humans. Also, I believe that this movie teaches the importance of teamwork among our family and friends.

Did it remind you of any other works of film?

This movie reminds me of the film Frozen because it also has beautiful cinematography of nature.

To whom would you recommend this movie?

I would recommend this film to everyone, but mostly to children because it would teach them the importance of saving nature and family values.

Did any of the actors stand out?

Bruno Mars did a great job acting the part of Roberto, one of the main characters. I loved the powerful song he sang in the movie, called Welcome Back.

Did you identify with any of the characters?

Blu reminded me of myself, because I cannot live without the computer and technology even one day.

Blu used his GPS throughout his journey to the Amazon, and I use my computer every day to study and play games. I need to enjoy the beautiful nature more on weekends.

Did the soundtrack contribute significantly to the film?

Yes. The great soundtrack made the movie much more dramatic.

Would you buy this movie when it comes out on DVD?

I would definitely buy one when it comes out on DVD.

What’s your favorite movie snack?

I love popcorn with mochi crunches.

On a different note, what’s new with you?

I’m looking forward to rehearsing and performing for 2014 Middle School Select Band in May. I will participate 2014 Brown Bags to Stardom, this time as one of the judges for the elementary school division, and I’m looking forward to watching all the talented contestants’ performances.

As for my ukulele career, I would like to travel to attend a few ukulele events overseas, including the Mainland and Japan, during school breaks. I’m also so excited about having accomplished my longtime dream: attending a private school from the ninth grade. I plan to study hard and challenge as many new things as possible at my new school.
