Residents Urged To View Updates To Flood Maps

Flood insurance rates and redevelopment plans may change in a dozen mapped areas, and the public can view the preliminary revisions on the Federal Emergency Management Agency website.

North Shore residents and property owners who live near the shoreline, streams or other flood-prone areas are urged to review the revised maps.

The revisions to the city’s digital flood insurance rate maps was completed recently, resulting in updates to special flood areas that include these North Shore locations: Keaaula Gulch, Malaekahana Stream and Wailele Stream.
