Re-Release Of ‘Hawaii’s Story By Hawaii’s Queen’
A Jan. 24 reception at Washington Place celebrated the new, annotated edition of the autobiography Hawaii’s Story by Hawaii’s Queen Lili’uokalani. The new edition is hardcover and contains new photos and images from the queen’s collection. While writing her book, the queen had just been released from house arrest, and had no access to her original notes, which had been confiscated. Some dates that were wrong in the original book have been corrected in the new edition.
