Pearlridge Bustles With Events In May

The West Oahu community can look forward to a variety of activities at Pearlridge Center this month.

St. Francis Hospice sponsors its bereavement walk for anyone dealing with the loss of a loved one from 8 to 9 a.m. May 6, meeting Uptown fronting Ecko Unlimited.

Creative minds can enjoy the center’s Creations of Hawaii from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 8-9 at Downtown Center Court. Creations of Hawaii showcases works created by local artists that reflect island life.

For those who want to experience flower therapies and learn about the Japanese bontemae tea ceremony, Mokichi Okada Association offers its Hawaii Healthy Monday Wellness Activities from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. May 11 and 25 Uptown.

The center hosts live entertainment May 16 at both Uptown and Downtown center courts. Honolulu Blend Show Chorus takes the Uptown stage from 11 to 11:30 a.m., and MDL Voice Studio (noon to 1 p.m.) and Pearl City Piano Studio (1:30-2:30 p.m.) follow.

Halau Hula O Leilehua performs from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Downtown, followed by Mehetia Pearl City Hula and Tahitian Dance from 1 to 2 p.m.
