Classes

Basics In Oil

2639 South King St., second floor (204), Monday through Saturday 10 a.m.-noon, 1-3 p.m. or 4-6 p.m., $100 plus supplies. Ages 12 and up are welcome to join the “Basics in Oil” class. Classes run for five weeks. (952-0309, leave a message)

Jazz Classes

W Performing Arts Center, 823 Olive Ave., Suite 15, Wahiawa, beginners and intermediate 5-6:30 p.m., intermediate and advanced 6:30-8 p.m., $12.50 per class or $17.50 for non-WPAC members. Pre-registration is recommended for this Dance Workshop with Wendy “Sabrina Star” Calio. Beginners are invited to learn jazz choreography techniques at tonight’s class and intermediates are welcome to come and brush up on their skills. (818-749-7990)

Blood Drive

Honolulu Community College, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. The Blood Bank of Hawaii invites residents to donate blood today. Donors must be in good health, at least 18-years-old, weigh 110 pounds or more and provide a valid photo ID. (845-9966)

Booking Signing

Hawaii’s Plantation Village, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Authors Michael T. Yamamoto, Nina Yuriko (Ota) Silva and Karen N. Yamamoto sing copies of their new book, “Waipahu: Recollections from a Sugar Plantation Community in Hawaii.” (677-0110)

Wave Waikiki, 10 p.m.-4 a.m. Loot Leezes presents “Hip Hop Hunnies” live tonight. Also enjoy the Hookah Service at the club tonight. This event is 18 plus only. (941-0424)

Live At Shore Birds

Shore Birds Restaurant and Beach Bar, 2169 Kalia Road, 4:30-8:30 p.m., 9 p.m.-1 a.m. For the first show Henry Makua and Jaden Jumawan hit the stage. Later on, Sam Doval and John Tsukano perform. (922-2887)
