Mortgage Firm To Travel West

Mortgage banking firm Honolulu HomeLoans recently announced that it plans to open a West Oahu branch to serve the growing population and new housing projects in Kapolei and Mililani.

A location for the new branch has not yet been confirmed, but the company is looking at either Pearl City or Aiea.

“Establishing a neighborhood presence will provide our customers with easier access to our mortgage professionals and our services,” said chief production officer Andrew Kim. “Our mortgage products are a perfect fit for the West Oahu market.”

The company anticipates that the new office will house four to six loan officers with the expectation of future growth. Honolulu HomeLoans vice president Darnell Souza, who has 30 years of experience in the mortgage industry, will lead the new branch as manager.

Honolulu HomeLoans hopes to open the new branch by the end of the year. It also is looking into the possibility of opening another branch in the East Oahu area in the future.
