Landscape Awards
The 11th annual Scenic Hawaii/Betty Crocker Landscape Awards ceremony was held recently at the Outrigger Canoe Club. The best of Private Gardens, Community Gardens, Professional Gardens and Xeriscape Gardens all received honors, while director emeritus of Honolulu Botanical Gardens Paul R. Weissich received Volunteer of the Year recognition. A Legacy Award was presented to Foster Botanical Garden for its ancient trees, public education programs and rare plants from around the world, especially from Hawaii.
