King School Hosts Animal Fair

Pets and people alike are invited to celebrate their bonds at a free activity fair, Animal KINGdom: Be Kind to Animals, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at King Intermediate School.

“Hawaiian Humane Society seeks ways to connect our communities with animals and to help people become more responsible pet owners,” stated HHS education partnerships manager Bonnie Oda. “One of the most successful methods is by helping Oahu schools host fun, educational pet events.”

Planned are dog and keiki agility courses, contests, veterinarian and dog-trainer booths, pet dental checkups, on-site microchipping for $10, photo booths, games, entertainment and food.

To enter the Pet/Owner Lookalike Contest, submit photos to facebook.com/animalkingdom96744 and vote on your favorites by Sunday. Three finalists will compete for the title at the event.

HHS co-sponsors the fair with the school. For more information, call HHS at 356-2206 or PACT Kaneohe Community Family Center at 235-7747.
