Keiki Wellness Day March 15 at Kapolei High School drew in an estimated 600 parents and children to glean information from nearly 40 health resource groups.

“Thank you to all of our participants, sponsors, attendees and volunteers who helped make our first-ever Kapolei Keiki Wellness Day a success,” said state Rep. Sharon Har, who organized the event.

In addition to youth-oriented activities, hundreds of children were fingerprinted and received personal identification cards – precautionary measures in case a child goes missing.

Har expressed her gratitude to a host of event sponsors, which included Kapolei High School, Meadow Gold Dairies, Service Printers, Hawaiian Electric Co., McDonald’s of Hawaii and Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

“We also are grateful for the student volunteers from Kapolei High School’s JROTC unit and National Honor Society,” she said.
