On Wednesday, Janice Low needed some vegetables for Taco Ole Day at work, so she stopped at Foodland in Dillingham Plaza. As she made her purchase at 3:20 p.m., MidWeek‘s representative approached Janice with a simple question. She answered correctly and instantly won a $150 Foodland shopping spree.

“I like shopping at Food-land because of their customer service and assortment of products, and they have fresh vegetables,” said this week’s Mystery Shopper, a social worker. “Also, they have good sales and I like their Maika’i card program.”

Janice was born in Wahiawa and raised in Maunalani Heights. She graduated from Kalani High School in 1977. She earned her master’s degree in social work from University of Hawaii, and enjoys crafting and reading. She also likes to read MidWeek.

“I like the assortment of articles and the recipes,” she said. “Also, you’ve covered some social issues, such as domestic violence, and I appreciate that.”
