Island Pacific Academy Students ‘Ride And Raise’ For Others
Island Pacific Academy junior kindergarten students pedaled around the parking lot of their Kapolei campus one morning last week in the name of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The students had gathered pledges prior to the event and biked around their “Trike Track” in order to collect the money for the hospital.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is a center for research and treatment for life-threatening diseases in children.
The event is an annual fundraiser at the school and was designed to teach young students the importance of helping others and community service.
The money raised is still being counted, but IPA says that it looks like the students were able to collect more than last year’s total of $1,200.
