Hawai‘i State FCU Donates $33,333

Hawai‘i State FCU presented a gift of $33,333 to Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i to celebrate the organization’s 70th annual book sale at McKinley High School. The gift will enable Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i to provide programming, support library staff, increase services and materials, and improve Hawai‘i’s public library facilities statewide. PBA Gets $1.5 Million

A major milestone was recently reached in Pacific Buddhist Academy’s Capital Campaign for its new classroom building, set to open this fall. The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation presented a check for $1.5 million to support the growth and success of PBA. Gailene Wong (far right), grant director of Weinberg Foundation, thanked PBA for teaching its students leadership skills in the service of peace in Hawai‘i’s communities.
