HOME Project Fundraiser
Hawaii HOME (Homeless Outreach & Medical Education) Project, with the John A. Burns School of Medicine, hosted its fifth annual food and wine tasting fundraiser and silent auction, “A Taste of HOME” earlier this year at the John A. Burns School of Medicine. The mission of HOME Project is to improve quality and access to health care for Hawaii’s homeless, while increasing student and physician awareness and understanding of the homeless and their healthcare needs. The project provides free medical services to homeless individuals through student-run clinics, while also utilizing a mobile health van for outreach to unsheltered homeless populations on Oahu.
