PRINCESS LEIA SPOTTED at the Kahala … That’s right, Carrie Fisher vacationed with her family at the Kahala Hotel & Resort! A passerby heard someone actually ask her about Jabba the Hutt … What a hoot! …

R&B songstress Jhené Aiko celebrated her 26th birthday by releasing a smooth, Key Wayne-produced single, My Afternoon Dream, with a simple video that she shot during a vacation on Maui. Check out the finished product at vimeo.com/89260392

This week in 1964: The first athletic event at the brand new HIC Arena is the Harlem Globetrotters, performing for three sell-out nights! On opening night, the Globetrotters, led by J.C. Gipson, defeat The New York Nationals by a score of 70 to 63. A variety show before the game, features tap dancer Peg Leg Bates, batonist Guy Allan, acrobat star Mike LeMay, guitarist and singer Jose Madrigal, Indian dancer Charlie Grey Eagle, juggler Lee Marx and table tennis champions D. Hickerson and B. Ashley … Ticket prices are $3, $2 and $1. The arena’s new $20,000 basketball floor does not arrive on time, so the Globetrotters must play on the concrete floor. Fun fact: When the Globetrotters returned in 2012, a fan asked if Meadowlark Lemon would be in the lineup. I replied with a chuckle, “I don’t think so, he’s 80 years old!” … And the No. 1 record in the country is Sunshine on My Shoulders by John Denver
