Sons Maddox and Pax are along for the tour, while hubby Brad Pitt and the rest of the brood are expected to arrive next month …

This week in 1968: It’s The Honolulu Folk Festival at Waikiki Shell, starring Richie Havens, Buffy Sainte-Marie and Phil Ochs! The opening act, We Folk, is a group from Roosevelt High School that features a 16-year-old female singer. In his review of the event, Dave Donnelly of the Honolulu Star-Bulletin writes: “The girl lead singer of We Folk shows great promise as a soloist.” Good call, Dave … That girl is Yvonne Elliman, who’d go on to star in Jesus Christ Superstar on stage and screen, and perform a string of hits heard around the world, including If I Can’t Have You from Saturday Night Fever
