Aiea Standout Commits To Chaminade
Attending a school with a small classroom setting and an opportunity to continue playing volleyball were always among her goals when Natashya Enos thought about college. So after accepting an offer from Chaminade University last week, the Saint Francis standout already was feeling right at home.
“I’m excited, and I’m relieved,” said Enos, who lives in Aiea. “It’s a good feeling. It was always my dream to play at home and in front of my family. I had a few Mainland colleges I was considering, but they were all on the East Coast, and I would have been the only one from Hawaii, and there wouldn’t have been anyone to relate to.”
At Saint Francis, Enos helped lead the Saints to Division II state girls volleyball titles in 2011 and 2012, as well as a third-place finish last fall. Enos recently took some time to visit with MidWeek‘s West Oahu Islander.
