Focus on West Oahu

Seventh-graders at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Pearl City recently spent two weeks lugging around 5-pound bags of flour to simulate what might be like to have a baby to care for. The students were required to carry their flour babies with them everywhere they went - to class, sports practices or out with friends. The goal of the project was to give them an idea of how much time, work and responsibility are involved in caring for a child. Photo from Ginger Kamisugi.
