No Excuses: WCC Fair Has Many Jobs

It is not too late to find a summer job, and Windward Community College can help.

It will sponsor a College and Career Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for students and the public next Tuesday in Hale Akoakoa, where more than 50 employers and college representatives will provide information on education, training and summer jobs.

Among the participants at the April 8 fair are staff from the city Parks and Recreation Department, YMCA, Honolulu Police Department, Marimed Foundation, VCA Animal Hospital, Waimanalo Health Center, City Mill and Marine Corps Community Service.

“It’s a great place to network with employers and schools,” said WCC career counselor Sarah Hodell. “We’re also introducing the community to our Career Center, where our counselors will have the latest job postings.”

The event is co-produced by WCC Student Affairs, WCC Career Center and ASUH-WCC. It is free and open to the community. For more information, call Hodell at 235-7485.
