Business Leaders on the Move in Hawaii


Ulrich Krauer has been appointed by Halekulani Corporation to the position of general manager of Halekulani.

Krauer most recently served as asset manager for Somerset Grace Bay in the Caribbean and, previously, as general manager of Kona Village Resort on the Big Island.


Lynn Heirakuji, DSW has joined the University of Hawaii Cancer Center as associate director of administration. Heirakuji is responsible for providing overall direction and strategic planning for the center’s administrative functions and administration of the Clinical Service Program and Shared Resources. Prior to joining the center, Heirakuji was director of Hawaii Fair Share Initiative, which was established by Gov. Neil Abercrombie to maximize federal funding in the state of Hawaii.

Kathleen A. Green has been named The Queen’s Medical Center director of Perioperative Services. Green received her master’s degree in nursing from Kaplan University in Chicago and is a certified peri-operative nurse.

She most recently was the director of Perioperative Services at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital in California. Prior to that, Green was chief nursing officer and chief operating officer at Mountain View Regional Hospital in Casper, Wyo.


Richard Kagehiro has been elected president of the Rotary Club of Ala Moana. Kagehiro is president of Aloha Kaima and has been a Rotarian for 19 years. He will lead the Rotary Club of Ala Moana with the 2012-2013 Rotary International theme of “Peace Through Service” at the Thursday luncheon meetings held each week at Ala Moana Hotel. Several community and international service projects also are planned for the coming year to achieve humanitarian goals and support Rotary programs at local, national and international levels.
