Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii – 10/2/13

John Wingard has been appointed creative and UX design director with RevaComm. He will direct and develop creative and exceptional user-experience design solutions. Wingard previously owned his own design firm and he has more than 15 years of experience working for many of Hawaii’s corporations and businesses. He has produced nationally recognized design and marketing materials for various communications mediums.
Kyle Okamura has been promoted to manager of special events and projects with Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii. In his new position, he is responsible for the planning, coordination and management of the Chamber’s training, business-building and networking events and special projects, including the organization’s Young Professionals program, a networking group offering young professionals the opportunity to exchange ideas and more. Prior to joining the Chamber, Okamura was with BAE Systems and, before that, Pacific Health Research and Education Institute.
Darla Arakaki has joined Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii as an account executive. She is responsible for membership sales and development. Previously, she was regional sales associate with Island Taylor.
Sean Umetsu has been appointed financial consultant in investment services for Hawaii State Federal Credit Union’s Pearlridge, Kapolei and Mililani branches. Umetsu is registered through CUSO Financial Services L.P. (CFS) and works directly with members on investment and retirement planning as well as preserving and transferring of wealth. Prior to his new position, Umetsu worked for First Hawaiian Bank as a financial consultant for nine years and at Bank of Hawaii for nearly two years.
Patti Cristobal has been promoted to vice president and relationship banking program manager with Central Pacific Bank. In her position, Cristobal will provide leadership and mentorship of the relationship banking officers. She also is responsible for the development and implementation of effective strategies, executing the portfolio management process, and leading Community Banking’s comprehensive relationship sales and service program. Cristobal has been with CPB since 2011 and previously served as vice president and community banking sales manager.
Vince Watabu has been appointed Hawaii sales manager of Asia markets with Obun Hawaii. In his new role, Watabu will lead the Asia Market sales team to provide clients with high-quality and cost-effective commercial printing and direct-mail solutions. Watabu previously was in charge of new business development at Obun Hawaii, a leading, full-service commercial printing and direct-mail company. nkato@midweek.com
