Gas Station Reopens In Aiea

After being closed for several months for renovations, two Tesoro retail stations, including the Aiea Heights location, reopen this month.

To celebrate, the Aiea station is offering discounts on gasoline during its grand-reopening from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 15-17. Customers who purchase $50 or more of fuel will receive a $5 fuel card. Tesoro also will distribute coupons for fountain drinks and other beverages that are redeemable at any of Tesoro’s 2Go stores. Plus, prizes from various partners also will be available during the grand reopening, while supplies last.

The station’s renovations come after Hawaii Independent Energy acquired Tesoro retail stores in September 2013. In addition to the Aiea Heights location, a station on the corner of King Street and Kalakaua Avenue also will reopen this month, with its celebration taking place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 23-25. Also recently upgraded are stations in Haleiwa, Salt Lake and Kalihi.

“Many of our loyal customers have been wondering if our station closures were temporary or permanent,” said Eric Lee, general manager of HIE Retail. “We’ve been making infrastructure improvements that may not be readily noticeable to our customers, but these upgrades will help to better serve our customers and position our stations in the long term. Our grand reopenings are our way of letting everyone know we’re here to stay and are open for business.”

In addition to the retail stations, Hawaii Independent Energy also has acquired two oil refineries in Kapolei.

The Aiea Heights station is located at 99-187 Aiea Heights Drive.
