Niu Valley Middle students Tabatha Knudsen and Laura Hufano-Kravetz prepare a cupcake display in the Cake Couture booth at the school's second annual 'Plate Up' - a benefit gala in Waikiki that paired 14 of Hawaii's favorite chefs with 48 budding apprentices. Honorary host was Russell Siu of 3660 on the Rise, and emcee was NVMS dad and TV personality Kutmaster Spaz. The school's nationally honored percussion ensemble entertained the crowd.
