First ’13 Full Moon Concert A Shining Success

Editor’s note: The letter below also appears in the Hui o Koolaupoko July newsletter.

Dear Editor,

On June 21, HOK kicked off the first concert for the 2013 Kailua Full Moon Concert Series with the Saloon Pilots, Ledward Kaapana and Mike Kaawa. With an estimated 800 attendees, it affirmed that HOK supporters enjoy live music and always are willing to help raise funds to protect stream and ocean health. We would like to give a big mahalo to all the folks who donated by chipping in $5, $10, $20 or whatever you could provide: thank you.

We also thank our sponsors and other donors: Keller Williams Realty, McKenna Windward Ford, D.R. Horton, Solar City, Joel and Mary Anne Cavasso, Jackson/Shuck Family, Kalapawai Market, Carol Paris, Mu’umu’u Heaven, Towne Realty and Judy Barrett. A big thanks to the city Parks and Recreation Department, John Stallings, Ocean Devotion, Rusty Chain Cyclery and all the volunteers who made the night a success.

We hope to see everyone and more of your family and friends Sept. 20 for our next Kailua Full Moon Concert! If you’d like to be a volunteer or sponsor for the event, please contact me at 277-5611 or todd@huihawaii.org.
