Mila’s Closet, a children’s new and resale boutique, has opened in Windward City Shopping Center in Kaneohe, offering a great selection of high-quality children’s apparel (for newborns to size 14), toys, books, accessories and maternity wear. The store is named after Mila Bueno, and was opened by her grandmother Clarissa Bueno and godmother Peggy Chock. “Our kids are grown adults, so it wasn’t until Mila was born last year that we were reminded again of how quickly kids outgrow everything,” says Bueno. “And there’s an abundance of it with just one child — imagine more than one. We thought it would be a great opportunity for our communities to benefit by a children’s boutique that enabled them to ‘sell, shop and save’ all in one place. “Mila’s Closet serves as a way to encourage families to recycle and reuse and reduce the impact on our environment.”
Consignors can bring in their high-quality, like-new children’s clothing, hard-cover books, toys, DVDs and other unique children’s treasures during store hours. It also accepts designer handbags and wallets on consignment. No appointment is necessary.
“We select the items we believe customers want or are looking for, according to our current inventory,” notes Bueno. “Consignors will receive 50 percent of the sale price in cash or check. They also can use their account balance to purchase merchandise.”
Mila’s Closet is located at 45-480 Kaneohe Bay Drive, and is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and
Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, call 200-7258 or visit facebook.com/milasclosethawaii or its Instagram page at milascloset_hawaii.
