Fashion Illustration For Kids

FASHION ILLUSTRATION FOR KIDS

ME + U is again offering its Fashion Illustration For Kids class, helping young aspiring fashionistas learn to interpret their designs artistically. Students will sketch and render fashion figures with a variety of materials, and learn to draw realistic-looking garments using fashion croquis.

The four-session series is designed for ages 9 to 17 (and ages 6 to 8 with instructor’s approval), and will focus on basic figure and clothing illustration techniques and stylization of garments. Participants will leave with a set of illustrations of their own designs and croquis templates for future use.

Classes take place July 11, 18, 25 and Aug. 1 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Art Explorium offices in Kaimuki (1132 D Koko Head Ave.). Basic materials will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary. Cost is $135 per person. To sign up, visit artexplorium.org/meanduhawaii, or for more information, email byuakea@gmail.com or call 554-0480.
